NOXUBEE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS:
Sealed bids for 15,000 GPD Sewage Treatment Plant for Huber Engineered Woods will be received by
the Board of Supervisors of Noxubee County, Mississippi in the Noxubee County Courthouse (P.O. Box 147;
Macon, MS 39341 / 2832 Jefferson Street, Macon, MS 39341), in Macon, MS until 10:00 A.M. on Monday
the 4thth day of May, 2026 and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
NATURE OF WORK:
The project is located at the Huber Engineered Woods facility located at 3005 MS Hwy 145 between
Shuqualak and Macon, Mississippi. Primary Items of work include construction of a package treatment plant,
disposal spray field, lift stations and electrical work.
BASIS OF AWARD:
The award, if made, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of unit prices and
quantities in the contract documents. Actual work quantities performed shall be based on the availability of
local funds.
The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract
entered into pursuant to this advertisement all minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity
to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color
or natural origin in consideration for an award.
SPECIFICATIONS are on file in the Office of Engineering Plus, Inc. in Meridian, Mississippi.
PLANS AND PROPOSALS may be obtained from Engineering Plus, Inc. 1724-B 23rd Ave., Meridian,
MS 39301upon payment of $50.00 for each set of documents, which is non-refundable.
Certified check or bid bond for five (5%) percent of the total bid, made payable to Noxubee County
must accompany each proposal. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters
qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an
irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award. The Board of Supervisors
reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities.
