VFD Water Treatment Plant

NOTICE TO BID
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for a new Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and its installation at the City of Batavia Water Treatment Plant will be received by the Department of Public Works in City Hall, at One Batavia City Centre, Batavia, NY. 14020 until 10:00 A.M. Local Time, Friday, November 7, 2025, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Department of Public Works Conference Room. Bid envelopes shall be marked on the outside “Bid for VFD Water Treatment Plant”. Please include information such as cost of labor and materials, warranty coverage for labor and materials, and estimated time of completion. The bid will be awarded based on a combination of factors including cost, warranty coverage, and the bidder’s experience in the industry. For those interested in evaluating the VFD, please join us for viewing hours on Tuesday, October 28th from 9am-3pm at the Water Treatment Plant, located at 480 Lehigh Ave in Batavia, NY. Please contact us to set up an appointment if this timeframe is not suitable for your schedule. It is highly recommended that an inspection be conducted prior to submitting a bid.
Specifications and requirements for said Bid may be obtained at the City of Batavia’s webpage, www.cityofbataviany.gov. All bids should be submitted on forms provided by the City. Questions should be directed to the Bureau of Water & Wastewater at (585) 345-6317.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any irregularities in the bidding.
