The Pre-proposal Meeting was held on May 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Huckleberry Park in Christiansburg,
VA. Attached is the Pre-proposal Meeting Attendance Sheet (Exhibit A) and questions asked during the pre-
proposal meeting and questions asked via email (Exhibit B).
All other terms, conditions, and descriptions in the RFP remain the same. The due date and hour remains May
22, 2026, 3:00 PM, EST.
A signed acknowledgment of this Addendum must be included with your Proposal.

Questions asked during the pre-proposal meeting. The Town’s answers are in red.
1. Who will dig the hole for the footers? The Town of Christiansburg’s Public Works Dept.
2. Does the base have to be brick, or can it be a faux brick? The contractor can propose alternative designs
for the base of the sign in their proposal.
3. Is the installation deadline of June 30, 2026 a firm deadline? Yes, June 30, 2026 is the firm deadline to
purchase and install the LED sign.

4. Are these dates on this correct? Bid due 5/22, no problem with the turn around for quoting. And the
project is to be designed, manufactured and installed within a month- June 30, 2026? Yes, the dates in
the RFP are all correct and the sign should be purchased and installed by June 30, 2026.
5. We are unable to bid this project because Think Signs responded to us and stated they declined our
pricing request and will only bid to their local authorized retailer. Is there another brand of electronic
message board you are open to? You are free to suggest any sign that you want in the RFP. Preference
will be given to the proposers who quote the requested brand in the RFP, but you never know who will
put in a proposal and what they will propose. All proposals are welcome.
