I. PURPOSE
It is the intent of this solicitation to secure through competitive sealed bidding, for the demolition and disposal of the existing canopy, saw cutting and removal and disposal of existing concrete for the installation of a new canopy, mounted lighting, gutters, footings, concrete island pad, painting of guards and columns, and engineered drawings.
II. SCOPE OF WORK
The City of Williamsburg Department of Public Works & Utilities, hereafter known as the City, is seeking bids from contractors for the demolition and disposal of the existing canopy, saw cutting and removal and disposal of existing concrete for the installation of a new canopy, mounted lighting, gutters, footing, concrete island pad, painting of guards and columns, and engineered/shop drawings. The work shall include all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, survey, restoration, supervision or other facilities, duties, or incidentals necessary for execution and completion of the Project in compliance with the Contract Documents.

RESPONSIBILTIES
A. Contractor shall be responsible for performing all Work in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations with respect to demolition, disposal, and erection procedures.
B. Contractor shall be responsible for keeping work area clear and free of debris, unused materials and chemicals.
C. Contractor shall coordinate with City’s Point of Contact (POC) with regards to work around the fuel pumps, card reader, and yard. Multiple City departments utilize the fueling station regularly and must be allowed to fuel vehicles and equipment. Contractor shall notify POC 24 hours in advance of any need to temporarily shut down any fuel pumps or any areas outside the work zone.
D. Contractor shall coordinate with City’s POC regarding material storage, laydown, and staging area at the City’s Maintenance Facility. Contractor may not block any service bays, drive aisles or parking lanes without first consulting with City’s POC.
E. Contractor shall reinstall any items that were removed in order to perform the work as described in this IFB. This refers to any items on and around the canopy that are not part of the scope of work.

Special Requirements:
|
|
The Contractor shall furnish to the City all documentation for the contracted Work relating to the removal and disposal of all materials, hazardous and non-hazardous, from the site to include, but not limited to:
A. Manifests, tickets, receipts, certifications, reports, testing, analyses, evaluations, affidavits, and chain of custody associated with the removal, and disposal of residuals from the site.
B. All permit applications, responses, approvals, and correspondence with the appropriate agencies regarding the activities identified herein.
