Synopsis:
|
|
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids will be received by the Engineer via email to awyatt@wyattengineering.ca with subject line “BID: Keys PDAP Culvert Washout Repair – Bidder Name”, up to 2:00 pm, C.S.T., Thursday, May 22, 2025.
The work is estimated to include:
-
Remove and dispose of existing CSP culverts, beaver dam and rock and sedimentation debris;
-
Supply and install five (5) 2.44 m rise x 3.05 m span concrete box culverts at approximately 36 m long, in parallel, complete with concrete cutoff walls at each end;
-
Complete subgrade preparation and backfill around culverts with biaxial geogrid composite, granular backfill, uncompacted crushed aggregate and imported clay for seepage cutoff;
-
Supply and install Type II rip rap;
-
A combination of imported and in situ excavation to embankment;
-
Repair grid road;
-
Water management for fish-bearing water, protection of aquatic habitat and erosion control throughout the duration of the work; and
-
Site rehabilitation.
All aggregate and borrow source materials utilized in the execution of the Work is to be sourced, supplied, tested for compliance with the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, and hauled to Site by the successful Bidder. All materials must be verified to be compliant with the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS prior to use.
The Bidder shall schedule the Work such that the Work within the creek is started no sooner than July 1, 2024.

Technical inquiries by Bidders are to be directed to the Engineer.
Bids must be accompanied by a Letter of Consent issued by a duly licensed Surety Company AND a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Total Estimated Amount made payable to the Owner. The Bidder is to provide evidence in the form of a Certificate of Recognition (COR) or equivalent.
The lowest or any Bid will not necessarily be accepted.
