PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Take notice that sealed bids will be received by the Township Committee of the Township of Pennsville at the Municipal Building, 90 North Broadway, Pennsville, New Jersey on June 23, 2026 at 10:00 am and opened and read aloud for the furnishing of the following chemicals for the Water Department for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 in approximate quantity, namely:

  1. Liquid Tons of Aluminum Sulfate                     330 Liquid Tons

    2.         Hydrated Lime                                                  250 Tons

    3.         Sodium Hypochlorite                                        115,000 Gallons

Specifications and conditions are on file at Township Clerk’s office, 90 North Broadway, Pennsville, (856) 678-3089, ext. 1124 or by emailing pvclerk@pvtwp.com.

All bids must be made in strict compliance with the bid solicitation, utilizing the bid form provided. All bids shall be returned to the Township Clerk in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder along with the bid item.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit, and bid bond or certified check or cashiers check drawn to the order of the Township of Pennsville in the amount of 10% of the total amount of the bid.  In addition, each bid shall be accompanied by a properly executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, which consent form shall contain language stating the surety company will agree to furnish the required performance bond upon the award of the contract or by letter from a federal or state bank or savings bank agreeing to furnish a letter of credit.

The successful bidder shall be required to enter into a contract within the time period prescribed by law, after notice of the award, or forfeit the bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned within three days after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of contractor’s performance bond or bank letter of credit, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excluded.

Bidders must comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, Chapter 127, (Affirmative Action Regulations), P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 (Corporate Disclosure Statements), and all other provisions of New Jersey Law.

The Township of Pennsville reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who in the judgment of the Township of Pennsville makes the most advantageous bid and to waive any such informalities as may be permitted by law.
