NOTICE OF SOLICITATION
Blue Mountain Christian University (BMCU) is issuing this Request for Quotations (RFQ) to
solicit pricing from qualified Women-Owned and Minority-Owned Businesses (W/MBEs)
for the furnishing of a new academic and training space. This solicitation is intended to support
supplier diversity objectives and ensure competitive pricing consistent with Mississippi
procurement best practices.
BMCU encourages participation from certified and self-attested W/MBE firms and reserves the
right to consider cooperative contracts where advantageous.
PROJECT SUMMARY
• Project: Training / Classroom Furniture – New Academic & Nursing Training Space
• Location: Blue Mountain Christian University, 106 W. Main Street, Blue Mountain, MS
38610
• Estimated Quantities: 75Tables and 150 seats
• Procurement Type: RFQ (pricing and availability)
SCOPE OF WORK
A. Training Tables
Vendors shall provide pricing for approximately 75 training tables meeting or exceeding the
following minimum requirements:
• Size: 24"D x 60"W
• Flip-top and nesting capability
• Locking casters suitable for institutional use
• Durable laminate or equivalent commercial surface
• Integrated or surface-mounted power (AC and/or USB) or optional add-alternate pricing
• Modesty panels and/or cable management options (optional alternates acceptable)
B. Training / Classroom Chairs
Vendors shall provide pricing for 150 chairs, with acceptable configurations including:
• Nesting or stacking capability
• Upholstered, mesh, or hybrid seating
• Arm or armless options
• Designed for extended seated use (training/classroom environments)
C. Optional Services (Add-Alternates)
Vendors may separately price the following:
• Delivery (inside delivery preferred)
• Installation and setup
• Power distribution systems (daisy chain or in-feed solutions)
• Cable management accessories
Equivalent products are acceptable provided specifications are clearly documented.
W/MBE PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
This solicitation is intended to increase contracting opportunities for Women-Owned and
Minority-Owned Businesses.
Respondents should indicate:
• W/MBE status (Women-Owned, Minority-Owned, or both)
• Certifying agency (if applicable), or self-certification statement
W/MBE participation will be considered as part of the overall evaluation; however, selection will
ultimately be based on price, product compliance, delivery capability, and overall value.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Quotations shall include, at minimum:
1. Company name, address, and primary contact information
2. Statement of W/MBE status
3. Detailed unit pricing and extended totals
4. Product specifications and manufacturer cut sheets
5. Lead times and warranty terms
6. Delivery and installation pricing (if applicable)
7. Applicable cooperative contracts (e.g., TIPS, OMNIA, etc.), if available
Pricing shall be valid for a minimum of 60 days from the submission deadline.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
All quotations must be received no later than:
Friday, May 15, 2026 – 12:00 PM (Central Time)
Late submissions may be rejected without consideration.

EVALUATION AND AWARD
BMCU will evaluate quotations based on:
• Price competitiveness
• Compliance with specifications
• Lead time and delivery capability
• Product quality and warranty
• W/MBE participation
This RFQ does not obligate BMCU to purchase any goods or services and may result in multiple
awards or no award.
SECTION 9. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. BMCU reserves the right to reject any or all quotations.
2. BMCU may waive informalities or minor defects.
3. Pricing requests do not constitute a commitment to purchase.
4. All costs incurred in responding are the responsibility of the vendor.
5. Products must comply with applicable safety and educational standards.
