THIS IS A MARKET RESEARCH/SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SEEKING INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY SEEKING RESPONSES IN ORDER TO DETERMINE PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACQUISITION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. THIS SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION OR ULTIMATELY AWARD A CONTRACT, NOR DOES IT RESTRICT THE GOVERNMENT TO A PARTICULAR ACQUISITION APPROACH OR OTHERWISE REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COSTS INCURRED IN PREPARATION OF A RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE.
The attached Performance Work Statement details refurbishment of Vehicles and Equipment at Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) by means of corrosion control treatment, prevention, and repair maintenance. The contractor will be responsible for providing services for corrosion prevention, body and sheet metal repair maintenance, and painting. The objective of vehicle rustproofing under the Air Force Corrosion Prevention and Control Program shall be to enhance safety and extend equipment service life. Concurrent with that aim, reduced costs, repair man-hours, and system/equipment downtime will be of paramount concern in preventive measures incorporated.
The contractor shall provide all facilities, equipment, consumables, Personal Protective Equipment, and hazardous material items to accomplish work in accordance with applicable safety guidelines and appropriately dispose of generated hazardous waste.
The anticipated NAICS Code is 811121, Automotive Body, Paint and Interior Repair and Maintenance.
This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals or Quotes (RFP or RFQ) or an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any services.
