Upper Pottsgrove Township will receive online (via PennBID) sealed Bids for the Moyer Road & Evans Road Drainage Improvement Project, as delineated in the plans and specifications until 2:00PM (prevailing time) on the 30th day of October, 2024.
A pre-bid meeting shall be held at the Municipal Building, 1409 Farmington Avenue, Pottstown, PA on October 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 am. Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are available at no cost on PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com where they may be inspected and downloaded at any time. Questions regarding this project shall be submitted via the “Ask a Question” feature in PennBid no later than October 25th, 2024 at 10:00am. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Upper Pottsgrove Township, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount, shall be submitted with each Bid. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor and Materialmen's Bond.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
Upper Pottsgrove Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Owner, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. Prior to awarding the contract, bids may be held by Upper Pottsgrove Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders.
The scope of the project involves the tree removal of 42.7’ from the edge of pavement from Evans Road, soil excavation and grading of proposed swale, installation of inlets, flared end sections, and stormwater piping, removal and repair of asphalt, and grading of swale along Moyer Road.
