QUESTION: We have a French vendor that could provide the necessary hardware, shipped to MAI in the US/inventoried here/configured here; and likely hand delivered (or shipped if preferable) to NUWC. Would this be an acceptable approach assuming all other aspects of RFQ are satisfied?
ANSWER: Quoted items must meet Government's Minimum Specifications IAW RFQ.
QUESTION: How will the recorders be deployed ? Would mounting brackets (mooring frame) be necessary ?
ANSWER: In a custom frame or mounts; it does not have to be provided as part of this requirement.
QUESTION: Do you need 2TB or 4 TB for storage capacity ?
ANSWER: Min. 2TB. Typical sampling rate minimum 256 kS/s
QUESTION: At what depth will recorders be deployed?
ANSWER: 50-70m
QUESTION: What is the frequency range of interest?
ANSWER: 20 Hz - 150 kHz
QUESTION: Does it need to be able to record 150days or the battery life of 150days only?
ANSWER: 150 days of continuous recording minimum.
