This request for information is to inform the industry that the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has decided to explore fresh and frozen U.S. pork market opportunities in the Continental United States (CONUS) including Alaska and Hawaii. DeCA is conducting market research to gather industry insights, best practices, and data-driven methodologies related to the procurement, logistics, and distribution of fresh and frozen U.S. pork for its operations in CONUS including Alaska and Hawaii. This request for information (RFI) is solely for informational and planning purposes and should not be construed as a solicitation or commitment to procure any goods or services.
DeCA seeks input from industry sources to determine the most effective means of supplying a comprehensive range of fresh and frozen pork products to approximately 177 commissary locations throughout CONUS, Alaska and Hawaii and has a period of performance of up to five (5) years.
