The Boone County Fiscal Court has declared a portion of county-owned real estate located along the south side of aero parkway, west of its intersection with zigzag road, as surplus property and has authorized the solicitation of bids for the disposition of said properties. The declaration of surplus was authorized by Fiscal Court Resolution 2025-164 on June 17, 2025, The property includes an approximate 11.169 acre parcel along the western property line of a 22 acre parcel, identified on the tax duplicate as Parcel ID 059.00-00-070.38
The subject property was acquired by the Boone County Fiscal Court in January of 2011 to facilitate the construction of Aero Parkway. Title is held by the County of Boone and was transferred from the Kenton County Airport Board. The subject property is currently zoned Airport District (A). The Fiscal Court has determined that the subject site has no additional public purpose and that it is in the County's interest to divest itself of the asset and offer it to the public. As such, the County now desires to solicit sealed bids from interested parties who desire to acquire the property.
The subject property is located on the south side of Aero Parkway approximately .6 miles east of the Burlington Pike/ Aero Parkway intersection. The property declared surplus and offered for sale is 11.169 acres+/- and is part of a parent tract that is a total of 22 acres. There is no mailing address for the available parcel or parent parcel; however, the parent parcel is identified on the tax duplicate as Parcel ID 059.00-00-070.38. The subject property site is the far west portion of the parent tract. The site has rolling topography and the site configuration is irregular with an estimate 1,500 +/- feet of frontage on Aero Parkway.
