The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) intends to award a sole-source contract to Nlets, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates a secure, nationwide, computerized message-switching network that links state, local, federal, and international criminal justice agencies for information exchange.
Nlets provides BJS with access to a secure, automated process to collect criminal-history data for national statistical studies on recidivism and criminal offending patterns. Nlets is the only organization in the United States that operates this criminal-justice information-sharing infrastructure and is uniquely positioned to provide these services.
