Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region, intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the following Brand Name supplies:
Spirit Mountain 125 VDC battery
A. 60 Cells. Two of these cells will be spares. The spare cells are cells 59 & 60.
B. Ten modules of VRLA Absolyte GP 90G09 cells.
C. Each steel tray module containing six cells.
D. Cell rating: 344 Amp-hours at the 8 hour rate to 1.75 volts per cell.
E. Nominal volts per cell =2.
F. Nominal Specific Gravity = 1.310.
G. Float voltage range of 2.23 to 2.27 volts per cell at 77 degrees F.
H. Maximum foot print of 25 inch by 60 inch and 49 inch high. Ten six cell modules configured in two stacks.
I. 20 years design life in float applications at 77 degrees F.
J. Modules must be capable of mounting to previously existing 90G09 I beam mounting bases meeting or exceeding standard 2005 IEEE-693 seismic qualification.
K. Supply all necessary hardware and accessories to install these modules as two side by side stacks of five modules. Refer to necessary hardware list below.
Necessary Hardware and Accessories
A. Four stack tie plates and hardware necessary to attach these plates.
B. One two post cell inter-stack connector for connection between the stacks at cells 30 and 31.
C. Forty-seven two post cells inter-module connectors between cells 4 and 5.
D. Ten two post cells inter-cell connectors between cells 50 and 51.
E. Lifting straps and lifting shackles suitable for horizontal and tip over placement of modules.
F. Protective covers and associated hardware for covering cell terminals of the modules consisting of separate protective covers for each 6-cell module. Total of 10 protective covers.
G. Battery warning label.
H. Cell number labels with polarity indicators. Cell numbers needed are 1 through 60.
I. Seismic and leveling shims.
J. Two grounding kits suitable for grounding the horizontal I beam supports to the bottom module.
K. Manufacturers recommended grease for all electrical connections.
L. Installation and operating instructions.
M. Ship with MSDS/SDS sheets for the electrolyte and the grease.
N. Warranty in float applications for telecommunications and switchgear for 7 years.
Delivery location is Bureau of Reclamation, Big Horn Basin Field Office, 4 Reclamation Road, Cody, Wyoming 82414. FOB Destination of all supplies with an anticipated delivery date of August 01, 2025
It is anticipated the simplified acquisition set aside will be a Total Small Business with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable evaluation criteria.
It is intended the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on or about 31 January 2025 via the SAM.gov website.
It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the SAM.gov web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments.

HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Quotations are not
requested and will not be accepted from this Pre-Solicitation Notice.
It is required all companies are to be actively registered in SAM.gov prior to submitting a quotation for this solicitation.
