Adding AMENDMENT ONE 6/13/2024







This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. The primary NAICS Code is 562112 (Hazardous Waste Collection). The contract awarded will be an open term Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.



The Smithsonian Institution (SI) intends to contract with a firm to provide all coordination, supervision, labor, material, and equipment necessary for pickup and disposal of various types of Hazardous waste, universal waste, and non-regulated material, i.e., liquid and solid waste/material, batteries and light tubes/bulbs.



Services are to be provided to all Smithsonian facilities located in the Washington Metropolitan area, as well as, the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, MD, the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, VA, the National Museum of the American Indian-George Gustave Heye Center in New York City, the Conservation Resource Center in Suitland, MD, the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City, and the Cooper-Hewitt-Newark Facility in Newark, NJ.



The Period of Performance is one year for the Base Contract with an additional 9 optional one-year periods.



The Request for Proposal (RFP) will consist of two parts. Part 1: Technical Proposal in which the Offerors establish their qualifications in accordance with the Evaluation Standards listed in the SOW and Section M: Part 2: Contract Price.

Contractors must be registered in the sam.gov prior to award.
