Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources to supply a 40-ton rough terrain crane for Ice Harbor Lock and Dam in Burbank, WA. This will be a firm-fixed-price supply contract. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 333924, and the associated small business size standard is 900 employees.






  • Rough terrain hydraulic crane, 40 US-ton capacity.

  • The crane shall be capable of four-wheel drive and four mode steering (front only, rear only, crab, and coordinated).

  • Pick and carry capabilities of at least 25,000 pounds at 10-feet radius with corresponding load charts.

  • 14,800-pound capacity at a load radius of 40 feet (360-degree rotation)

  • Gross weight of machine plus options identified below shall not exceed 65,000 pounds.

  • Integrated load moment indicator and anti-two block system with graphic display and audio-visual warning. A programmable work area definition shall provide audio-visual warning when the crane approaches preset limits.

  • Main and Auxiliary Hoist, 1 each

  • 360-degree mechanical swing lock

  • 40-ton 3 sheave hook block, single swivel hook with latch

  • 18.7-ton single sheave hook block, single swivel hook with latch

  • 7.5-ton top swivel, single hook with latch

  • Air conditioning

  • Cab-mounted amber beacon and boom mounted flood lights.

  • Synchronized full power boom with integral holding valve on telescope cylinder

  • Variable outrigger positioning

  • Automatic lubrication of superstructure

  • Outrigger span not to exceed 21 feet in width or length at full extension.
