Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), Tampa, FL, issued an award no. 36C24825P0624, Lifefleet Southeast, Inc., for ambulance services in support of James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa Bay, Florida 33612. This procurement is a sole source for an urgent and compelling need.
The scope of this emergency procurement is to provide all requested Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Ground Transportation Service for beneficiaries of the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH), and its associate healthcare facilities. The Contractor shall provide all emergency vehicles (ambulances), personnel, management, supplies, transportation, fuel, equipment, reports, and anything else necessary to successfully furnish Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Ground Transportation Services as identified in the performance work statement (PWS) and the Price and Cost Schedule. In addition, performance by trained staff is required to continuously be compliant with the requirements contained herein, and meet or exceed the standards of, but not limited to, the Joint Commission and Florida State Department of Health Regulations. Without the proper transportation available, patient care for members would cease. Making this a high-risk and cause devastating effects to patient care at JAHVH.
The period of performance (POP) will be for 5-months beginning on 02/01/2025 through 06/30/2025. The type of contract is a Firm-Fixed Price.
This Justification for award is posted in accordance with FAR 6.305 to the Business Opportunities website (https://www.sam.gov) on February 18, 2025. The NAICS Code is 621910, Ambulance Services small business size standard $22.5 Million. The Contract award has determined to be fair and reasonable price.
