This project includes the construction of a 3,000 square foot addition to the existing Lynchburg Regional Airport hangar currently occupied by CentraOne/PHI Air. This addition will be connected to the current structure. The addition includes offices, training rooms, maintenance areas, crew quarters, living spaces with a kitchenette (no commercial appliances requiring special exhaust hoods), workspace, and bathrooms. Modifications to the existing hangar will include reworking of the electrical service entrance and addition of emergency power for the hangar door and renovation of existing spaces. Also included is site work to include earth moving (+/-2,000CY of fill), demolition, milling, asphalt pavement (aggregate sub-base), concrete sidewalk, erosion and sediment control, drainage improvements, utility relocations/improvements and maintenance of traffic.
