BID SOLICITATION
INVITATION FOR BID
You are invited to bid on a General Contract for all labor, methods, material, and equipment necessary to complete the Little Pine Parking & Sidewalks Construction Project located at 200 Whittington Avenue, Hot Springs, AR, for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA); hereinafter termed Owner; Bid # FB-25-005.
There will be an optional Site Visit at 12:00 P.M. CST on Friday, May 30, 2025, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on June 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. CST at the ASMSA campus. Sealed bids will be received until 12:00 P.M. CST on Monday, June 9, 2025, at ASMSA, 200 Whittington Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901, and will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Late bids will not be accepted.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of trees, underbrush, and an existing residential structure; construction of a 13,254 square foot concrete parking area and 2,500 square feet of sidewalks; site utilities; lighting; and associated landscaping and striping. The project also includes the installation of concrete retaining walls, ADA-accessible ramps, pole-mounted LED lighting, and coordination with Entergy for utility service.
Bidders shall submit a lump sum bid. A bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount is required. The selected contractor will be required to begin work within 10 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed and complete the work within 90 calendar days.
This solicitation does not obligate ASMSA to award a contract or to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a response. ASMSA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or minor irregularities in any bid.
All bidders are notified that this project is subject to compliance with applicable labor laws, non-discrimination requirements, wage standards, and other federal regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Work Hours Act, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. ADA compliance is required. All materials must meet the project specifications, including concrete rated at 4000 psi and rebar placement per design.
A State of Arkansas Contractor’s License is required before award and execution of the contract, though not required at the time of bid submission. No construction contract will be executed without a valid license issued by the Arkansas Contractor’s Licensing Board.
