DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS, VISN 23 Source Sought: The VA is seeking business sources qualified to provide the items listed below as Brand Name or Equal. This is NOT a solicitation.

POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE:

1. Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address.

2. State if your firm distributes the Brand Name items, or Equal items.

3. SAM UEI number.

4. NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code 339112 that your firm uses for injection pumps and modules.

5. State if your firm is a large business, small business, service-disabled-veteran-owned
small business, veteran-owned small business, HUB zone 8(a), women-owned small business or a small disadvantaged business.

6. State if your firm has the required items on Schedule (FSS, GSA, SEWP, other ).

7. Provide a letter from the manufacturer verifying your firm is an authorized distributor.

8. Provide the country of origin for each of the required items.

REQUIRED ITEM and Salient Characteristics:
Contractor shall provide brand-name only Kopf Instruments:
Model 942 Small Animal Stereotaxic Instrument with Digital Display Console
Must allow for X, Y, Z adjustments to include 10-micron resolution and include a compact digital display console. The digital display control must allow the user to zero reset at any position. Metric scale 80 mm calibrated 0.1 mm vernier scale.
Must ensure that angle adjustment is available through a universal joint calibrated on two planes for access from any angle. Must have the ability to remove the vertical alignment pin to allow angled settings from 0° 90° either side of vertical, 2° increments.
Must provide rotation adjustment through a manipulator swivel base that can be rotated up to 360°. Manipulator X/Z axis must be able to reposition at 90° increments.
The stereotaxic frame must be mounted to a 13.9 L x 10 W base plate and elevated to bring ear bar height to 53 mm.
Ear bar slots on the U frame must have 0.1 mm verniers for centering the animal. Ear bar zero to posterior end of base plate is 8.763 .

Gas Anesthesia Mask must have an inlet/outlet ports (1/8 dia.)
Must be compatible with Ear Bar Model 1922 Non-Rupture 60° Tip Mouse Ear Bars.

C. Model 921 Zygoma Ear Cups
Must allow for a 25° with 5° graduations in tilt for Dorsal/Ventral tilt
Must provide a 35° (5° graduations) coronal adjustment
Must provide a 44mm Adaptor Plate A/P adjustment

D. Model 1474 Stereotaxic Drill includes tabletop

Must include tabletop motor controller, foot pedal and piece holder
Drill size must be 6 in overall length
Must have a 5/8 grip diameter
Must have a 1 motor diameter
