Project Description: Online sealed bids for the construction of Fort Hunter Park Service Station Adaptive Reuse will be received by Dauphin County Commissioners via the PennBid Program (pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until Friday, August 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time; at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bids will be read at the Commissioners Hearing Room at the Dauphin County Administration Building.
Bids will be received for the following contract(s):
General Construction
Plumbing Construction
HVAC Construction
Electrical Construction
Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at no cost at pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted via PennBid’s Public Q&A section. No questions will be accepted by phone, fax, or direct e-mail.
Each bidder must deposit, with the bid, Security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workmen employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents.
Contractor agrees to comply, and to require compliance by any subcontractors providing services on this Project, with Dauphin County Ordinance 01-2022. In the event of a conflict between any provision in the contract documents and Dauphin County Ordinance 01-2022, Ordinance 01-2022 shall prevail.
A Prebid Conference will be held at the Dauphin County Parks and Recreation Admin Building, 100 Fort Hunter Rd. Harrisburg 17110 on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Prospective bidders may discuss the project and will be granted access to the project site at that time with representatives of the Owner and Architect
All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants; in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved November 26, 1978, as amended.
