INVITATION TO TENDER

Sealed Tenders, plainly marked on the envelope TENDER FOR SOOKE LAKE DAM INSTRUMENTATION IMPROVEMENTS, IWS 2023-921 will be received by Shari McCreesh, Purchaser,
Integrated Water Services of the Capital Regional District at their offices at 479 Island Highway, Victoria,
British Columbia up to 2:00:00 pm local time on June 18, 2025, at which time they will be opened in
private.

The works to be constructed under this Contract generally include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Installation of an Automated Data Acquisition System (ADAS).
• Design, construct, place and remove temporary drilling platform.
• Drilling boreholes for instrumentation.
• Installation of vibrating wire piezometers for phreatic monitoring.
• Installation of seismographs for weak and strong motion monitoring.
• Installation of horizontal and vertical shape arrays for deformation and settlement monitoring.
• Construction of weir retrofits and installation of new pressure transducers, thermistors and turbidity
monitors.
• Installation of tilt meters for movement monitoring of the intake tower.
• Camera installation.

Proponents may be awarded follow-on work without a competition.

The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A non-mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at 2995 Sooke Lake Road (Goldstream Gate) at
10:00 am, June 3, 2025. CRD staff will escort the Tenderers to the dam site. Tenderers will require their
own vehicles capable of safely travelling on steep and winding gravel roads. Tenderers are recommended to visit the site to ensure that they have satisfied themselves of everything and of every condition that could affect the execution of the work. Tenderers are encouraged to make enquiries to satisfy themselves of the work requirements.
