Pre-Advertisement Notice for Community-Based Forestry

The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation, will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB) towards the procurement of a qualified contractor to provide Community-Based Forestry services across the City of Atlanta. Interested vendors during the prequalification phase will be evaluated on their demonstrated experience performing urban forestry services, including community tree planting and maintenance, invasive plant control, and environmental education and outreach programming. Evaluation will consider the contractor's technical capability, experience managing volunteer-based initiatives, staffing qualifications, and capacity to deliver services in accordance with City standards and best management practices. The City's expectation is that the selected supplier will deliver timely, compliant, and high-quality services that support the expansion and maintenance of the City¿s urban forest, enhance community engagement, and promote environmental stewardship through education, volunteerism, and restoration efforts.
