HVAC Blower Wheels & Shaft Replacement

The City of North Augusta is requesting quotes from qualified vendors to provide mechanical repair services, specifically the replacement of air conditioning blower wheels, bearings, and blower wheel shaft for Air Handler Unit #2 at the North Augusta Community Center (495 Brookside Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841)

Scope of Work & Requirements:

• Access & Dismantling: Safely remove existing ductwork as required to gain clear access to the internal blower wheel housing.

• Component Replacement: Remove existing components and install two (2) new blower wheels, along with new matching bearings and drive shaft.

• Reassembly & Testing: Reinstall and properly seal all removed ductwork to ensure code-compliant operation. Test the system to ensure balanced rotation, vibration-free operation, and proper airflow performance.

• Cleanup: Clean the work area and dispose of all old components and materials upon job completion.

Vendor Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bidding vendors must hold a valid South Carolina Mechanical/HVAC Contractor License.

• Bidding vendors must possess or obtain a valid City of North Augusta Business License once the contract is awarded.

• Vendors must carry active Workers' Compensation insurance.
