Information Technology Department Capital Improvement Project: Proposed 5G and Fiber Design

Project Description: It is the intent of the City of Brownsville, Texas, to solicit sealed competitive bids for 5G Infrastructure Deployment Project, funded through the RGVMPO Category 7 (STBG-MM) Program. The City of Brownsville has been awarded Surface Transportation Block Grant – Metropolitan Mobility funds and is issuing a Solicitation for Sealed Bids for a construction contract associated with 5G Infrastructure deployment throughout the City. The project aims to build a 5G Wireless infrastructure to connect the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) throughout the City. The City of Brownsville Private 5G (P5G) Deployment Project includes the planning, RF design validation, installation, configuration, testing, optimization, commissioning, and integration of a Private 5G wireless network across eighty-two (82) proposed locations throughout the City of Brownsville, Texas.
