General: The following changes, additions and clarifications have been made to the original Bid
Documents for the above referenced project and shall be incorporated into the Bidder’s
response. All project documents provided with, and referenced in, the District’s Bid No. 01-25/26,
including contract documents and specifications (collectively, the “Bid Documents”) shall remain
unchanged with the exception of those elements added, revised, deleted, or clarified by this
Addendum. In case of conflict between the Bid Documents and this Addendum, this Addendum
shall govern and shall supersede any term in the Bid Document that contradicts or otherwise
clashes with this Addendum. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum Number
One on the Bid Form and failure to do so may subject Bidder to disqualification.
REVISION TO BID DOCUMENTS:
Exhibit A – Scope Of Services
The Scope Of Services included in Original Bid Documents are being revised to clearly define the
responsibilities of the District, Bidder and Project Engineer. All the areas that were revised,
removed or added to Exhibit A – Scope Of Services are in red font.
ANSWERS to Pre-Bid Clarifications:

Q: The manufacturer confirms that the return water from the cooler must be plumbed into the
suction side of the circulation pump, as the cooler sump pumps CANNOT overcome flow pressure
on the circulation manifold. The suction side manifold will require plumbing in a new tee, which
will require removal of the existing assembly. Does the district confirm that they will drain the
pools as needed, which will also provide a reduction of TDS? (Aquatic Service, Inc.)
A: Yes, the District will drain the pools as needed.
Q: Sump pump piping will require passage through building walls, louvers, and/or the like.
Does the district confirm that they will core the locations desired for the passage of the
4” SCH80 piping to/from the cooler into the pump room? (Aquatic Service, Inc.)
A: The District will provide the required openings for the new piping into the buildings. The
contractor shall provide a schedule to the district on required timing of when the
openings will be required.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
Elsinore High School, Lakeside High School and Temescal Canyon High School Pool Cooler project
involves the installation of three (3) pool cooling towers spanning three (3) locations located in Lake
Elsinore, California. The installation of all three units are expected to be installed during Spring Break
(03/30/2026 – 04/03/2026) or the first week of summer break of 2026 during normal school hours, when
students are not on campus. Project must be closed out by June 30, 2026 and all invoices paid prior to
July 31, 2026. The installation of all three units are expected to be installed during the Winter break of
2025 during normal school hours, when students are not on campus. Project must be closed out and all
invoices paid prior to May 31, 2026.
The Contractor shall verify and consider existing conditions to install Pool Cooling Towers. Cooling
Towers will be supplied by Lake Elsinore Unified School District. The District will provide leveled concrete
pads and secure cooling tower to pad for installation at each school site. Contractor shall provide all
services, equipment, accessories and any other appurtenances and labor required for the complete
installation of the Pool Cooling Towers. Electrical conduit, conductors and fuses will be provided by the
District. Final equipment connection shall be by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide all plumbing
piping and plumbing piping connections as required for installation and operation of Pool Cooling Towers.
Contractor shall coordinate with district to identify required openings required for installation of piping and
conduits through existing louver or fence. District will provide required openings in existing louver or fence.
Contractor shall coordinate with pool equipment and controls for integration of cooling tower into the
system. Provide necessary interlocks for pool equipment/ pumps and cooling tower. The Contractor shall
provide professional services throughout the project phases which include: Contractor shall provide all
services, equipment, accessories and any other appurtenances and labor required for the complete
installation of the Pool Cooling Towers. Electrical conduit, conductors and fuses will be provided by the
District. Final equipment connection shall be by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide all plumbing
piping and plumbing piping connections as required for installation and operation of Pool Cooling Towers.
The District will provide leveled concrete pads for installation at each school site. The Contractor shall
provide professional services throughout the project phases which include:

PROJECT SCHEDULE
1. The Bid/Proposal and Award phase of the Project, from advertisement to bid opening or proposal
evaluation through final Contract award, is anticipated to complete within thirty (30) calendar days.
1. Location Plan: Conceptual location of equipment storage/staging and areas/routes of access shall
be provided within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Kick-Off Meeting.
2. Site Investigation: Field notes taken during the course of site investigation shall be provided to
LEUSD with identification of equipment considered in demolition and measurement of existing
conditions as they relate to scope of major items within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the
Kick-Off Meeting.
3. Preliminary Planning: Preliminary Planning Documents shall be provided within thirty (7) calendar
days after the date of the Kick-Off Meeting.
1. The Bid/Proposal and Award phase of the Project, from advertisement to bid opening or proposal
evaluation through final Contract award, is anticipated to complete within thirty (30) calendar days.
1. Construction Administration: Construction of the project is anticipated to be completed within ninety
(90) calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed with Construction (NTP) to the Contractor.
2. Closeout and Deliverables: An additional thirty (30) calendar days, from the date of filing for
substantial completion for the project, is allowed for the receipt of all contracts and referenced
deliverables and activities.

Site Investigation:
Upon issuance of the Construction Notice to Proceed from the District, the Contractor shall make
the necessary site visits required to compare the building and site conditions (in areas of the scope
of work) with the Exhibit B drawings and other information and data the Contractor has obtained
from the District and/or others, to review and clarify the requirements of the project. The Exhibit B
drawings and other information provided by the District are not necessarily the actual condition of
the site and all measurements, depictions, and comments must be verified by the Contractor.
a. The Contractor shall verify type of construction to confirm adequate support for attachment of
piping and controls and other equipment necessary for a complete installation equipment and
shall advise the District Representative whether specific investigatory on-site demolition is
deemed necessary. If inadequate support is discovered, proper details and material shall be
accounted for.
b. Site investigation shall include, but shall not be limited to:
i. Identification of potential incidental work
ii. Verification of capacity and condition of infrastructure
iii. Analysis of whether improvement(s) will impact school operations and existing
conditions.
Preliminary Planning:
In accordance with School Design Guidelines furnished by the District, the Contractor shall include
input as required to inform the District of potential construction complications related to the project
scope.
a. Preliminary Plan: Contractor shall prepare a viable conceptual scheme for Installation of
Cooling Tower piping, controls and other appurtenances for a complete installation units.

The Contractor shall at a minimum, and as required to inform the construction process, meet with
the District in accordance with Required Meeting Attendance stipulated in the Agreement during
the Site Investigation/Preliminary Planning phase, conduct site visit(s) with the District
Representative to observe and verify existing conditions and validate the proposed design.
Upon approval by the District of the Construction Documents, the Contractor shall assist the District
to prepare and assemble invitation to bid or request for proposal documents consisting of the
General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Prevailing Wage Scale, Notice to Contractor, Bid
Proposal Forms (furnished by the District) into the specifications. In addition, the Contractor shall
in coordination with the LEUSD Project OAR prepare the Technical Specifications (including
Division 01) and any alternates as may be required.
During the solicitation phase, the Contractor shall prepare addenda and clarification documents,
interpret Construction Documents, attend a pre-solicitation meeting, provide an evaluation of
equals and assist the District, as requested, in responding to architectural and engineering
questions raised during the solicitation Phase.
The Contractor shall furnish the District with a written evaluation of the bids or proposals.
1. The Construction Phase shall commence with the award of the Construction Contract:
a. Construction of the Pool Cooling Tower: a duration of ninety (30) calendar days to substantial
completion. A closeout phase of ninety (30) calendar days will follow after substantial
completion.
b. The Construction Phase shall commence with the award of the Construction Contract and
be performed under the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
2. The Contractor shall advise and consult with the District in all matters and shall quickly relay all
observations to the District relative to the construction of the project.
3. The Contractor shall provide construction phase services as required to support the timely
execution of any phased construction activities as outlined in Exhibit A, Article I-B.
4. The Contractor is expected to finish all steps required when replacing all three (3) Pool Cooling
Tower units such as:
a. Make Final Electrical connections.
b. Check existing controls work with new units.
c. Connect to existing controls for integration into existing pool system.
d. Connect new piping and Cooling Tower to existing pool circulation loop.
e. Hire licensed third party Test and Balance company to perform water balance at each unit
and system is operating per Manufacturer’s guidelines for existing pool equipment and
new cooling tower.
f. Replacement of existing doors at Elsinore High School pool equipment room with full
louvered doors for proper combustion air.
g.f. Contractor to provide connections as necessary for new units to existing concrete
padsnew cooling tower.
5. Contractor shall provide 1 year warranty on workmanship. Provide one year warranty on other parts
and equipment supplied to complete work.
6. Contractor to provide a one year warranty for all electrical accessories and parts that are required for
unit replacement.
7. Contractor shall coordinate with district for construction timing provide all work and material
necessary for installation of fully louvered service doors at Elsinore High School Pool Equipment
