Description


Sealed Bids for the 2026 LMIG ROAD IMPROVEMENTS will be received by the BAKER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, Georgia for all material, labor and equipment at Board of Commissioners office at 439 GA-91, Newton, Georgia 39870, up to 11:00 a.m., prevailing local time, on July 21st, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. This Advertisement for Bid is intended to meet the requirements of Georgia Code Section 36-91-2, as amended by SB146. This Project will patch and resurface approximately 3.99 miles of Josuli Road from Cross Road to Joe Heard Road. This scope generally consists of 375 TONS of Road Patching by milling existing road and replacing with 4¿ of 19 mm Superpave Asphalt, 2,040 TONS of leveling with OGI, and 3,200 TONS of asphalt overlay. Project also includes traffic control, shoulder clipping and grading, tack coat, primer, striping along with any other related accessories and appurtenances as shown on the Drawings and called for in the Contract Documents.

Bidding Documents may be obtained on June 10th, 2026, by purchase from the Engineer for the sum of $300 per
paper set. A portable document format (.pdf) file containing these documents may be downloaded through a link
upon payment of $100.00. There will be no refunds or return of Bidding Documents. All payments for bidding
documents shall be cash or check only. Direct the request, with payment, to the Engineer. The purchaser must
supply the telephone and email along with street address of the individual or firm to whom addenda (if any) can
be directed. Contact the Engineer @ brent@reliableeng.net for a list of Bidding Document holders on this
Project. All requests for technical information from Bidders shall send requests to the Engineer by
facsimile or email only up to 72 hours prior to bid date.
A Bid Security in the sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each
Bid. Form of Bid Security shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder is required to submit a "Bid form", "Bid Bond", "Form of Qualification of Bidder", "Non-
Collusion Affidavit", "Immigration and Security Form", and "Contractor Certification Regarding Debarment"
as outlined in Sections 00250 and 00410.
All anticipated federal, state, or local permits required for the project have been obtained by Owner. A list of
these permits is included in Paragraph 6.08 of the Supplementary Conditions.
All anticipated rights-of-way and easements required for the project have been obtained by Owner. A list of the
easements along with any special requirements is indicated in Paragraph 4.01 of the Supplementary Conditions.
No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening.
Owner will not engage in unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex,
height, weight, marital status, or unrelated disability. Bids from minority- and female-owned organizations are
encouraged.
The right is reserved by Owner to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids.
