Section 1.0 – Site Visit:

There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. All bidders will be responsible for all

measurements, etc. All site visits should be arranged through Brent Griffin, by calling the

office at (504)349-5000 or his cell phone at (504)419-4415, or email at

brent.griffin@jeffparish.gov.

Section 2.0 – Scope:

We extend this proposal to cover all labor, materials, and necessary essentials to install one

(1) 20’ square style shelter with multi-rib roof panels, concrete slab and four (4) concrete

footers on shelter. At Martin Luther King Playground; 2400 Lester Street, Harvey, LA

70058.

Section 3.0-License Requirements:

A Louisiana State Contractor’s License in the below classes or subclasses will be required by

LSA R.S. 37-2150 et. seq., and such license number must be entered in the appropriate field in

the electronic procurement system. Failure to provide your license number will result in your

rejection.

-BUILDING CONSTRUCTION and/or STEEL ERECTION and INSTALLATION

Section 4.0 – Quantities/Inspection:

Bidders must inspect the site and perform their own measurements in order to determine

the proper quantity of materials and equipment required to complete this project. All

measurements given in these specifications are informational only.

Section 5.0 – Bid Specifications:

SECTION 1 GENERAL

Note: Wherever a brand name, make, manufacturer, model, or catalog number is

specified, it is used only to denote the quality standard of product desired and does

not restrict bidders to that brand or manufacturer. Such references are intended

solely to convey the general style, type, character, and minimum quality of product

required. Equivalent products may be acceptable if, in the Parish’s sole discretion,

they meet all specifications and project needs. Required documentation for proposed

equivalents shall be submitted in accordance with these specifications, within 10 days

of bid opening.

A. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER SHALL SUPPLY ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT

AND NECESSARY ESSENTIALS TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

1. Location of each shelter will be determined by owner.

2. Owner to pick roof and beam colors from color chart.

3. Shelter type: 20’ square style shelter with multi-rib roof panels.

4. Roof Slope: 6:12.

5. Clear height under tie beam (UTB): 8’-0”. This is clearance under the tie beam which

spans between the columns.

6. One (1) Engineered stamp drawings required.

7. Concrete slab- 22’x22’ square slab, 4” thick with steel wire reinforcement, broom

finish.

8. Concrete Footers- four (4) with steel reinforcement as per manufacturers and

engineer requirements.

9. All concrete to be truck poured.

10. Parks and Recreation will not be responsible for any materials or equipment on site,

while job is in progress.

11. Awarded vendor must provide their own dumpster on site to dispose of debris and

must have the dumpster location approved.

12. Vendor shall be responsible for furnishing and installing all equipment, parts,

supplies, supervision and personnel needed, plus and permits, fees, etc. needed to

complete this job.

13. All work to be done in a workmanlike manner.

14. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage to grounds, concrete and structures

etc. Contractor shall take pictures and video before starting job.

15. Contractor to remove grass in location of new shelter slab.

16. Slab to be set 3” above existing grade.

17. 3’ X 3’ garbage concrete pad

18. Sidewalk to be10’ L x 5’ W.
