APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
Purpose: The Coast Guard is issuing this Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for market research purposes to identify capability and availability of small business sources to provide barracks management, hotel-type services, taking reservations, room cleaning, linen services, etc. at U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Virginia in accordance with the draft Performance Work Statement (Attach 1). The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement may be 561720, Janitorial Services, with a small business size standard of $22M. This NAICS code is selected based on the preponderance of work, however, barracks guest management services are also an essential component of this requirement that the contractor must satisfy.
The corresponding Department of Homeland Security Acquisition Planning Forecast System record number is F2025070920.
Request: If your small business organization is interested in this procurement, please complete and return the attached questionnaire.
Submission Instructions: Interested parties are invited to submit a response by returning the Response Questionnaire (Attach 2) to Atrice.L.Richard@uscg.mil and Jeffrey.D.Haycox@uscg.mil. The deadline for submittals is Friday, August 22, 2025. Marketing material or sales brochures are not desired nor required and will not be reviewed.
Disclaimer: This is not a solicitation nor a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this request is purely voluntary; the Government will not pay for any costs incurred nor is it obligated to respond. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
After reviewing responses to this notice, and if the Coast Guard still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement may be published on the Contract Opportunities website www.sam.gov. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the Contract Opportunities website for future announcements.
Failure to respond or submit sufficiently detailed information may result in a company not being considered a likely offeror when deciding on whether or how to set aside a solicitation for restricted competition. Regardless of the information submitted, the Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as determined appropriate for this requirement.
