The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District (SAM) intends to place a brand name specification into solicitation W9127825R0042 in accordance with FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement. This request is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is for information only and is not a request for proposal (RFP) or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to understand the market for alternative suppliers of the items listed below. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all information received by the date indicated in this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to include this proposed brand name specification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Contracting, is conducting a market survey to identify alternate sources for the Mach Alert Fire Station Alerting (FSA) system.
