2026 Paving Program & Markman Park Road Improvements
Dear Mr. Rullo:
Please place the following Legal Notice in the Local Xtra Section [North] of your Thursday, March 5, 2026 and
Thursday, March 12, 2026 issues of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and furnish the usual proof of publication:
“REQUEST FOR BIDS
SEALED BIDS will be received by Marshall Township, Allegheny County, 525 Pleasant Hill Road, Suite 100,
Wexford, Pennsylvania 15090, until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at which time they will be opened and read
aloud; and may be considered and awarded at a meeting to be held by the Marshall Township Supervisors at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, March 30, 2026. The work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the following
Contracts:
· 2026 Road Improvement Project Contacts for Milling, Paving & Road Repairs (Contracts 26-01 & 26-
02) These contracts include +/- 33,800 SY of milling and asphalt paving.
· Markman Park Road Phase 2 – Full Depth Reclamation Contract, asphalt paving and associated items of
work (+/- 18,600 SY)
Pennsylvania prevailing wages shall be paid on all contracts unless noted otherwise in the contract documents.
Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement
may be directly purchased (for the cost of printing) at; Accu-Copy Reprographics (724-935-7055) and reviewed online
at https://planroom.accu-copy.com/jobs/public . No refund will be made for the return of any documents. All questions
related to the project shall be addressed to Art Gazdik, Marshall Township Engineer at
artgazdik@groundworkcivil.net.
Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of
Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed
Agreement.
Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety
Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Municipality of Marshall Township in an
amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of Contacts 26-01 & 26-02 and a separate bond for the
Markman Park Project if bid.
All proposals will remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening.
The Marshall Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof for
any reason and reserves the right to waive any informality therein or to award the bid to the best responsible bidder.
