ARROWWOOD PARK PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS

The Town of Shrewsbury invites sealed bids from qualified general contractors and playground installers for site work and the complete installation of a playground at Arrowwood Park. Play equipment has already been purchased by the Town and it shall be installed by the awarded bidder as part of this contract. All contractors must submit bids in conformance with this Invitation for Bids and the related documents which shall be available online at https://shrewsburyma.gov/bids and also in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury (phone: 508-841-8508). Town Offices are open Mon, Wed, Thu 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; Tue 8:00 AM-6:30 PM; and Fri 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Contractors must be able to begin the site work and installation in April 2026 and the work must be completed by June 12, 2026.

This Invitation for Bids shall be governed by the requirements of MGL Chapter 30, §39M.

An optional and weather permitting pre-bid site walk will be held at Arrowwood Park at 11:00 AM on January 28, 2026.

Bids will be received in the Town Manager’s Office at 100 Maple Avenue in Shrewsbury, MA until 11:00 AM on February 19, 2026, at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids must be sealed and marked “ARROWWOOD PARK PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS” with the bidder’s name and address clearly noted.

A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany the bid and be made payable to the Town of Shrewsbury.

The Town reserves the right to waive any minor informalities in the bids and to reject any and all bids if it shall be deemed in the best interests of the Town to do so.
