|
New playground equipment at Riordan Playground, at Federal Hill Green in Bristol CT, as noted in the specifications available via the document link noted below.
Proposals will be accepted until the date and time noted herein via digital format by email, shared file service, or USB drive. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in any submission, to reject any and/or all submissions, and to accept the proposals that in its judgment are in its best interest. The City of Bristol will award the bid based on price, quality of service provided, and timeliness of services.
Funding for this project is provided by the State of Connecticut under its Local Capital Improvement Program (“LOCIP” funding). The Contractor who is selected to perform this State project must comply with Connecticut General Statute Secs. 4a-60, 4a-60a, 4a-60g., and 46a-68b through 46a-68f, inclusive, as amended by June 2015 Special Session Public Act 15-5. An Affirmative Action Plan must be filed with and approved by the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities prior to the commencement of construction. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including non-discrimination statutes and set-aside requirements. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services.
The awarded firm will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
