Description

The Hinton Training Centre (HTC) is operated by the Department of Forestry and Parks. HTC develops and delivers professional and technical training programs for employees of the Forestry Division. In addition, HTC hosts workshops, conferences, and provides meeting facilities for a variety of clients.

The HTC campus consists of an academic building (including classrooms, offices, and a gymnasium); two residence buildings (including fitness rooms, lounges, laundry rooms, and kitchenettes); a forestry museum; a warehouse; and a commercial kitchen, dining facility and Cache Percotte Fire Camp. Collectively, the facility accommodates in excess of 10,000 clients annually.

Forestry and Parks requires the provision of janitorial and housekeeping services at the Hinton Training Centre. Services are required for all buildings located on site.

Janitorial Services shall include the cleaning of all common client and shared areas within HTC. Areas to be serviced include, but are not limited to, washrooms, classrooms, offices, lounges, kitchenettes, corridors, and other public, administrative, or client-accessible spaces

Housekeeping Services will consist of cleaning, and preparation of resident dormitory rooms upon client check-out. At a minimum, Housekeeping Services shall include cleaning of floors and furniture, removal of trash and debris, changing of bed linens, and making of beds. All rooms shall be restored to a clean, orderly, and occupancy-ready condition. The amount of rooms/beds vary each week depending on the amount of check in and checkouts.

During periods when the Cache Percotte Fire Camp is operational between the Months of March to October, the successful Proponent shall provide on-site support services related to sleeping accommodations within the camp cabins.

Due to the dynamics associated with wildfire management, the successful Proponent will need to be flexible and adaptable to satisfy the needs of the Province.
