The purpose of this amendment is to post questions received and provide the facilities responses. The response date and time remain unchanged.

1. DELIVERY / LEAD TIME
SOW paragraph 4 requires all wetted parts to be 316 or 316L
stainless steel on an ASME-stamped packaged unit. Manufacturers we
have approached indicate this is a made-to-order build rather than a
catalog item, with fabrication lead times that may exceed the
90-day period of performance stated in paragraph 11. Will the
Government accept a quoted delivery beyond 90 days after receipt of
order where the vendor identifies the lead time in its quotation,
or should quoters plan to invoke the 14-day notification provision
in paragraph 11 after award?

The facility has indicated either is sufficient. Please submit the most accurate delivery schedule possible with your quote.

2. SCOPE OF "ALL WETTED PARTS"
Please confirm whether the 316/316L stainless requirement extends to
the heat exchanger tube bundle and circulating pump, or whether it
applies to the vessel, connections and wetted piping with a
copper-alloy tube bundle remaining acceptable. Several standard
packaged units meet every other requirement in paragraph 4 but use a
copper U-bend coil or bronze circulator.

Tube-bundle must be stainless steel, as copper piping is not compatible with low conductivity water.

3. CONTROL VALVE CONFIGURATION
Paragraph 4 requires 1/3-2/3 control valves. Please confirm whether
the control valves are to be pneumatic, electronic, or vendor's
choice, and whether any BAS/BMS interface or signal type is required
at the control panel.

Electronic controls. BAS interface functionality (integration is not within scope) would be preferable but not required.

4. SOLICITATION NUMBER IN THE DESCRIPTION
The first paragraph of the attached OPPORTUNITIES-DESCRIPTION 02
document references "solicitation number 36C25026Q1034" and also
refers to providing "a Reverse Osmosis system." The CLIN schedule,
Statement of Work, title and submission instructions all reference
36C25026Q1040 and two packaged steam water heaters. Please confirm
that 36C25026Q1040 is the correct solicitation number and that the
Reverse Osmosis reference is not part of this requirement.

Reverse Osmosis system is a different requirement and not associated with 36C25026Q1040, which is limited to the two packaged steam water heaters.

Paragraph is hereby corrected to:
The contractor shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and shipping to comply with all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations, and VA regulations as required to provide two packaged steam water heaters as outline in the SOW/SCHEDULE.:

5. INSTALLATION
SOW paragraph 3 states that equipment install and testing are not
within the scope of this contract. Please confirm that the vendor's
responsibility ends at delivery to the Building 23 Warehouse with
cut sheets and O&M manuals furnished, and that no rigging, setting,
startup or commissioning labor is to be priced.

Correct, install and setup is not required.

6. PAST PERFORMANCE
Please confirm the number of past performance references desired,
the relevancy period, and whether commercial references are
acceptable alongside federal references.

Past performance can be reviewed via CPARS. There is no specific number of references required.

7. EXISTING EQUIPMENT
If available, please provide the make and model of the existing
end-of-life units being replaced, and any connection sizes or
physical envelope constraints in the Sterile Processing mechanical
space, so that quoted units can be confirmed as a fit.

Current system is an electric tank-based water heater at end of life. New water heater is being installed parallel to existing prior to cut over. Physical constraints limited to passage through standard height (84 inch) double door.
