Jack Britt High School Track Drainage 2026

INVITATION TO BID
Sealed proposals will be received 2:00 p.m. May 14, 2026, in the Cumberland County Schools'
Operations Center Plans Room, located at 810 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC, at which time they
will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Jack Britt High School Track Drainage 2026.
The contractor shall 8" flexible perforated polymer type commercial sock drain in the general location shown on sheet
C3.0 prepared by Crawford Design Company. Lay drain pipe with gentle consistent slope. Connect lower end of
drains to existing catch basins with leak proof seals. Commercial landscape fabric shall be placed between stone and
topsoil that allows water penetration but limit soil infiltration. Overlay fabric top edges by 4", see details on sheet
C3.0 for more information. Contractor will be responsible to restore grass area to the condition prior to start of work.
No reseeding will be accepted. Contractor shall take every precaution to protect the existing track from any damage
from excavated materials, new materials, and equipment, and etc.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2026. Contractors
interested in bidding shall meet at Jack Britt High School (main office); 7403 Rockfish Road,
Fayetteville, NC 28306. (910-429-2800).
Single prime bids will be accepted in accordance with G.S. 143-128. Complete Bid Documents will be
issued once requested via email from Richard Grice, Project Manager, Cumberland County Schools,
(910-446-3289) richardgrice@ccs.k12.nc.us.
Requirements for bidding this project are as follows:
1. Three references from previously satisfied commercial customers.
2. Furnish NC License Number (G.S. Chapter 87 establishes licensing requirements for general,
plumbing, heating, electrical, and refrigeration contractors for construction projects costing $30,000
or more).
3. Insurance - The Contractor shall provide, as required by law, insurance for his employees. The
Cumberland County Schools assumes no liability for injuries or accidents related to the Contractual
Agreement. The Contractor shall furnish a certificate to the Owner (Cumberland County Schools)
as a Proof of Coverage. The Contractor shall maintain and pay the Insurance Coverage, which shall
not be less than the following:

Owner/Officer must be included in coverage
B. General Liability (per person/per occurrence):
1. Bodily and Personal Liability $1,000,000/$2,000,000
2. Property Damage $1,000,000/$2,000,000 Aggregate
C. Automobile Liability (per person/per occurrence)
1. Bodily Injury $1,000,000
2. Property Damage: $1,000,000 Aggregate

5. Recruitment of minority business participation in accordance with G.S. 143-128.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
