Description

The Library of Congress, Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) is conducting market research to identify potential commercial sources that may be able to provide serials subscription management & related support.

Subscription management includes all of the tasks necessary to activate, manage, and maintain both new subscriptions & the renewals of FEDLINK member agencies’ subscriptions to serial publications, both print and electronic. These tasks fall into the following five critical areas:

  1. Ordering and renewing subscriptions

  2. Serving as a fiscal agent with publishers, including making timely prepayment and processing refunds

  3. Facilitating timely access to, and claiming delivery of ordered subscriptions, both print and electronic

  4. Troubleshooting and resolving end user access issues

  5. Providing reports and other administrative support for serials management.
