POLK COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS ACCEPTING SEALED PROPOSALS FROM EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS FOR PROVIDING ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO CONSTRUCT A NEW FIRE STATION AS SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS. A CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CONTRACTOR WHOSE PROPOSAL BEST SATISFIES THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS REQUEST AND BEST SERVES THE INTEREST OF POLK COUNTY. SEALED PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 4:00PM LEGALLY PREVAILING TIME ON TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2025, IN THE ADMINISTRATION OFFICE LOCATED AT 216 MAIN STREET IN CEDARTOWN, GA 30125.

No change will be made to this RFP except by written modification by the County. Requests for interpretation or changes must be in writing, directed to the Polk County Assistant Manager, Connor Hooper (chooper@polkga.org) or PSI Architecture, Matthew Cash (matthew.cash@psi.works) and received at least (5) Five Calendar Days prior to the time set for opening of the bids.

Polk County is looking to replace the existing Fire Station #8 building with a new 6,911 gross square ft. fire station building and accompanying site development. The existing fire station no longer meets the needs of the County. Polk County shall be responsible for all demolition of the existing station, drives, utilities, and accessory buildings. The successful bidder shall be responsible for all new construction and site development, as outlined in the included contract and bidding documents. The new Fire Station #8 building shall be constructed on the same site as the existing station, once demolished. This is a turnkey project, as the general contractor shall be expected to deliver a complete project, ready for use. Architecture and engineering drawings, as well as a project manual with specifications, have been attached to this document. There shall be no change orders for this project unless requested by Polk County Government.
