Mount Van Hoevenberg Sliding Track Modernization

The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority is announcing the Mount Van Hoevenberg Sliding Track Modernization Project in Lake Placid, New York. The Project will consist of several Contracts that will be advertised for bid in the months of November 2024, December 2024, and January 2025.

The Project will provide for construction Contracts to modernize infrastructure related to the combined bobsled, luge, and skeleton track.

Individual Contracts will be further defined to represent the following:

• Refrigeration Plant Replacement Contract
• Site Logistics, Early Works, and Pile Installation Contract
• Site Utilities and Finishes Contract
• Track Curve & Roof Structure Improvements Contract
• Operations Building Contract
• Start 1 and Start 3 Buildings Contract
• Track Lighting System Contract

A Project Labor Agreement (PLA) will cover several of the Contracts to be bid as part of this Project - further specificity will be included in each of the Contracts when advertised for bid.

M/WBE/SDVOB Goals will be published per Contract.

Generally, Contracts will be awarded in early 2025 and Contract completion dates will be in late 2025.

Designated Contacts will be provided for when each Contract is advertised for bid.

Gilbane Building Company has been retained as the Director's Representative for this Project and has arranged for two Information Sessions prior to advertising Contracts for bid - these Information Sessions are scheduled for:

• Thursday, November 14 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at the Desmond Hotel, Albany.
• Tuesday, November 19 from 2:30PM to 3:30PM at the Mountain Pass Lodge - Mount Van Hoevenberg, Lake Placid.

Interested Contractors are encouraged to attend these Information Sessions.
