| Project Title: | Asbestos/Abatement |
| Description: | North Carolina A&T State University is initiating a multi-phase redevelopment effort in the Bluford and Lindsay neighborhood, located adjacent to the University’s main campus in Greensboro, North Carolina. This area includes a number of residential structures that have been acquired by the University for long-term campus planning and revitalization efforts. This initial project phase involves the asbestos abatement and demolition of approximately twelve (12) residential properties. Several of these structures contain asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), which must be removed in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations prior to demolition. The University seeks to engage a licensed asbestos abatement contractor to provide turnkey services including abatement, air quality clearance, and demolition. The scope of this solicitation also anticipates potential future phases of work within the same neighborhood and surrounding areas. Additional properties may be added to the project scope over time, and the selected contractor may be asked to provide ongoing abatement and demolition services under the terms of this agreement, contingent upon funding and project needs. This work supports the University’s goals of improving safety, eliminating environmental hazards, and preparing the area for future infrastructure and campus |
