The Virginia Tech National Security Institute (VTNSI) is establishing a research center where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and radiation are considerations. This results in the need for a semi-anechoic with reconfiguration to a full anechoic chamber as needed. The EMC efforts will be primarily focused on radiated emissions and susceptibility of small platforms. The anechoic chamber will be used for wideband electromagnetic effects testing. This RFP outlines the requirements for this chamber to accomplish these critical measurements, scoping the size and performance goals for the range. The range shall be installed, qualified and operational at the VTSNI site by March 1, 2026 or no more than 7 months after contract award, whichever is later. Pricing must include shipping, installation and certification/calibration charges.
