Boyd Hill Nature Center Flooring Replacement

The City of St. Petersburg is requestiing quotes from qualified vendors to replace flooring in the Lake Maggiore Environmental Education Center at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. The vendor must remove the existing vinyl flooring, repair the concrete sub-floor, and install extra heavy commercial laminate. Primed solid wood trim must replace the existing vinyl trim. The nature center will be divided into three phases for this project. Demolition, subfloor repair, and installation of new flooring/trim must be completed in each phase before beginning the next phase.

The vendor will be responsible for pulling toilets, sinks, and appliances as needed to install flooring. The City plumber will reconnect any plumbing once the floor is installed.

The removal of the nature center's educational exhibits and the installation of new ones will be coordinated with this project. In an effor to reduce delays and nature center closures, this project must be started on time and finished as soon as is practically feasible. A significant amount of furniture and appliances will need to be moved within the building for each phase of the project. It is expected that the subfloor will need many repairs with self leveling concrete.
