Project Description: The City of Tempe (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified Consultants to: (i) assess the conditions of specific areas identified by the City, as described below, for the purpose of modifying the University-Hayden Butte Redevelopment Area (“UHBRA”); and (ii) prepare the documentation needed to support a future modification of the UHBRA in compliance with applicable state law, including Arizona Revised Statutes (“A.R.S.”) Title 36, Chapter 12, Article 3. If the results of this analysis determine that the predominance of properties (50 percent or more) within the study area exhibit slum and blight indicators, this information will be presented to the City Council to consider declaring such and adopting an amended UHBRA. Concurrently with these efforts, the City will prepare an amended University-Hayden Butte Redevelopment Plan (“UHBRP”), in accordance with A.R.S. Section 36-1479.
