The intent of this RFP is to bid the services of roof maintenance. Over the past several years we have set-up a
three-year rotation cycle so that at the end all roofs have been cleaned and minor repairs completed. Thus,
reducing the calls for emergencies and leaks. Lowest responsible/responsive bidder shall complete all the work,
that is, one contract to be awarded. During the contract period, which is one-year, the successful firm will be
our on-call service provider for all leak service calls. The Buildings affected:
C1-2020 Courthouse
C2-1958 Courthouse/Jail
C3-North Main Campus
C4-Probation & Parole
C5-Support Services
C6-Thomasville Courthouse
C7-Thomasville EMS Base
C8-Thomasville Library
C9-West Campus Building B & Gym Flat Part Only
C10-Southmont Community Center
The tasks included but not limited to, in this RFP:
1. Annual Roof Top Housekeeping
a. Removal all debris
b. Scrub all algae covered areas
c. Wash off entire roof
d. Clean out all gutters
e. Clean out all roof drains
2. Annual Roof Preventive Maintenance
a. Seal all edge metal joints
b. Repair ripped seam
c. Repair flashing
d. Repair holes
e. Repair cuts
3. Before and after pictures of progress
The intent is to have a clean site.
Specifications for this project can be picked up at 925-A North Main Street at the Support Services Department,
Lexington, NC during regular working hours Monday through Friday.
The public opening for this project will be held at 2:00 p.m., on February 11, 2025. This opening will be held
in the Support Services Office, at the above address.
A mandatory pre-bid conference for all prospective offerors is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. February 4, 2025 at the
Support Services Department at the above address. Copies of the bid package will be available at the pre-
bid conference. Prospective offerors are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. Address is listed
above. The walk-throughs will be the same day. In the event the County is closed due to inclement weather,
this meeting will take place on the next business day.
The period for ending questions will be February 7, 2025 at noon.
The Davidson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and Proposals, and
further reserves the right to make the award and/or awards in the best interest of Davidson County.
