RFP 24-1729 Station 18-Lifecycle Upgrades and Net Zero Retrofit

The City of Calgary (The City) is issuing the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of retaining a Prime Consultant (Architect) and Sub-Consultants to deliver the Station#18 Lifecycle Upgrades and Net Zero Retrofit project. The City will select a single integrated project team to deliver the Project.
Fire Station#18 is located in the Huntington community (Ward 4) at 415 68th Ave, NW Calgary, Alberta. The building was constructed in 1975 and is approximately 8565sqft and is a two-storey structure. This project intends to address the items marked as critical /poor condition as per the Asset Management team, as well as improving the building to align with The City of Calgary Climate Implementation Plan and Net-zero emissions by 2050 program.
Prime Consultancy services are for the full design through to Post Construction of the project and is expected to consist of the following phases:

- Phase 1 - Site Assessment & Schematic Design;

- Phase 2 - Design Development;

- Phase 4 - Contract Documentation

- Phase 4 – Construction Procurement & Administration; and

- Phase 5 – Post Construction
Unless otherwise stated in the Agreement Letter, the award under this RFP will be for all Phases of the Requirements, subject to approval by The City after each Phase.

This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to the direct commercial negotiations.
