The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection, is soliciting bids for the fabrication of retardant tanks as part of its efforts to modernize wildfire suppression infrastructure. These tanks are critical for storing and deploying fire retardant at air tanker bases across the state, supporting aerial firefighting operations. The tanks must meet stringent specifications to ensure durability, compatibility with existing systems, and performance in Alaska’s extreme conditions. This project is vital to enhancing the state’s ability to combat wildfires and protect communities, requiring a qualified contractor with experience in metal fabrication and industrial-grade tank construction.
BID SUBMITTAL
Bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM Alaska Time on APRIL 1, 2025, via email to madelyn.lowe@alaska.gov, or mailed/hand delivered to DNR/DOF 101 Airport Rd. Palmer, AK 99645. Responses received after this date and time will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.
