SALT STORAGE BUILDING - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

PROJECT OVERVIEW

City of Fremont Street Department is seeking proposals from professional contractors for services and materials related to constructing a salt storage building at 643 S Luther Road, Fremont, Ne. This project will begin on or shortly after October 1 ^st , 2026.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The salt storage building will be an 8,000 sq. ft. structure to be constructed on a finished grade pad. This will be a building with a full concrete floor, sealed concrete application to allow for deicing agents, and a reinforced concrete push wall to the rear and base perimeter. The 16’ overhead garage door will face to the East. General design information and specs listed in Section ‘A’. The floor and footings should be sufficient to withstand 1,500 tons of de-icing material at any given time.

SCOPE OF WORK

Scope of work includes all details noted in Section ‘A’. This will be to design and construct a new salt storage building at 643 S Luther Road, Fremont NE.

DIRECTIONS FOR SUBMISSION

A total of 1 copy of the proposal must be received no later than NOON on August 21st, 2026. Submitted proposals shall remain in effect for 120 days from the due date. All costs incurred for proposal preparation, presentation or contract negotiations are the responsibility of the contractor. The City of Fremont reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted in response to this request for proposal and/or to select the proposal that it determines, in its sole judgement, to best meet the needs of the City.
