Bidders are hereby notified that this Addendum shall be made a part of the documents. The intent is to add to, modify, or clarify the
documents. Should any of these items have an effect on price, such changes shall be included in the price bid. These items have the
same force and effect as if contained in the original.
ITEM 1: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1: What parts per million does CCU require for chlorination and what is the required or preferred method for chlorinating?
A1: Chlorinating the well will be done using two well volumes of water with 100-250 ppm chlorine.
Q2: What is the well volume?
A2: 1,700 Gallons
Q3: What is the static PSI for Well 9?
A3: 12-14 PSI
Q4: What is the procedure required or preferred by charlotte county to salt this particular well? Amount of salt?
A4: Industry best practices should be used to kill the well, the amount of salt required will need to determined by the
bidder.
Q5: Why all of a sudden is a well contractors license required when no drilling is being done and electrical work is being done?
A5: Please see Addendum 2, Item 4 for Licensing updates and clarification.
Q6: What is the purpose of salting the well if its going to be flushed anyway?
A6: Salt suppresses the artisan flow from the well so that work can be performed.
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the proposal and contract documents. These items shall have the same force and effect
as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified date shall conform with the additions, deletions and
revisions as listed herein.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20250681. Bidders are
required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
