WWTP Biosolids and Grit Storage Pad Upgrades

The City of Richmond, VA (the "City"), on behalf of the Department of Public Utilities ("DPU") seeks bids from qualified firms for general contracting services related to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids and Grit Storage Pad Upgrade project (the "Project"). The Project will entail demolition of existing systems and sewer lines, construction of new systems and lines, and installation of electrical service, among other related work (the "Work"). Specific details regarding the nature and prosecution of the Work are provided below in the Statement of Work.

This Project ensures proper containment from the wastewater treatment process and maintains Class B status of processed solids. The Bio Solids will be covered to keep solids from obstructing plant piping and ensure that the solids are kept dry. The solids are placed on the pad as dry matter. A structural canopy is required to keep the solids dry during rainfall so they may be hauled away and accepted at a disposal facility.
