The City of Lynnwood became incorporated in 1959 and is one of the largest cities in Snohomish County with a population of 38,143. Lynnwood is a forward thinking city that strives to engage in projects that will help build a more vibrant community.
In May 2022, Lynnwood City Council authorized the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to join the One Washington Opioid Settlement, split between Washington state, counties and cities. As a term of the settlement distribution, participating parties must allocate funds towards addressing the opioid crisis and its symptoms in their communities. Using a portion of these funds, The City of Lynnwood is soliciting proposals from qualified nonprofit organizations and service providers to contract services addressing opioid addiction and abuse, with the intent of alleviating opioid abuse and overdoses through connections to care, treatment, prevention, and other strategies. Please see the One Washington Settlement Memorandum of Understanding (Exhibit D) for more details.
A total of $500,000 is allocated for this Request for Proposals. Selected agencies may request funding of up to $250,000 per award, to be expended over a two-year contract term. Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation process.
The City of Lynnwood has prepared this Request for Proposals seeking experienced and qualified providers for Opioid Recovery and Prevention services and related programs.
